Red Kites Monoprints

These are my Red Kites monoprints that I exhibited with the Beds, Bucks and Herts Print Society at the County Art Gallery in Aylesbury last December. It was a beautifully hung show with some superb prints by well-known artists.

I helped run Drypoint and Collagraph workshops during the show.

Printmaking Workshops

These are 'Taster' days where participants can have a go at different printmaking processes - collagraphs, linocuts, woodcuts, drypoints and monoprinting. They are great fun and even people with very little artistic experience are able to produce really successful prints. 

I also teach follow-up workshops where students can develop their favourite process. 

The workshops are held in my studio at Butlers Cross near Aylesbury.

I exhibit regularly with the Artworks Group. We met as fine art students at Hertfordshire University. 

Despite widely diverse backgrounds and careers we became a dedicated and cohesive group but we retain our strong individuality as can be seen by the wide variety of work on our website.

Printmaking Workshops

I am a member of the Artworks group of 30+ artists and am currently helping to update our website www.artworks4you.co.uk. Take a look at the existing one as there is some very interesting work.

We have an exhibition at the new Hertford Theatre in Hertford, Herts in October. The theme will continue from our Traces Exhibition at the Crypt Gallery in London last May 2011.

Also, I am planning my autumn printmaking workshops. These are 'Taster' days where participants can have a go at different printmaking processes - collagraphs, lino-cuts, woodcuts and drypoints. On a separate day I teach monoprinting (see image above). They are great fun and even people with very little artistic experience are able to produce really successful prints. The workshops are held in my studio at Butlers Cross near Aylesbury.

Next week I am going to Madeira to paint and gather inspiration for my new work for the Hertford exhibition.

BUCKS OPEN STUDIOS

I am taking part in Bucks Open Studios again this year with 19 other artists in a lovely building near West Wycombe called The Clare Foundation. The woodcut above, called Nature's Tracery, is one of 12 prints I am exhibiting.

HOSPITAL CHARITY EXHIBITION

I am currently holding an exhibition at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire to help raise money for the hospital.

There are 40 pieces of my work there from prints to paintings, and the exhibition is on until the end of February. The work is on the walls in the main corridor and can be viewed at any time. Here is a selection of my work displayed at the hospital...
